Here at Shoshin Tribe, we believe the social media age has diluted the true essence of travel and what it really means to be a traveller. Majority of the time when we see travel content online, its showing the glitz and glamour of travel.
The aesthetic, perfectly framed and edited photos, the incredible lust-worthy destinations, the colourful sunsets and flowing dressed. Shoshin Tribe is here to flip the script!

We are looking for passionate individuals who are seeking to transform, learn, and grow. Shoshin Tribe is all about seeing life with wonder, seeking new knowledge, and evolving to become better version of oneself while giving back to our communities.
As you may already know, at Shoshin Tribe we are NOT looking for the biggest social media influencers or people who are expert photographers, videographers or writers. We are simply looking for authentic individuals who align with Shoshin Tribe's values, who are eager to learn, and who have a passion for life.
JUDGING PROCESS
Our internal judging panel will carefully go through your applications and judge your answers based on our vision, principles, and the potential we see in you as a representative of the Shoshin Tribe community.
Further judging criteria for rounds two and three will be given in due course of time.

ROUND ONE
APPLYING FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP
STEP 1.
First step to applying for the travel scholarship is to become a Shoshin Tribe Member
STEP 2.
Complete all necessary questions on the application form. You may be required to tell us a story or two so that we can get to know you a little better!
STEP 3.
Submit the application form and do a happy dance! You are now in the running for 3 months of free travel on the Shoshin Tribe Travel Scholarship! Share your joy on social media and be sure to tag us!
ROUND TWO
SHOWCASING YOUR SKILLS AND PASSIONS
Once applications are closed, our team will go through and select 1000 applicants ( or 50% of 1st round applicants ) who will move onto the next round.
Round two will be about showcasing your passions and skills.
This is where you can be imaginative and share with us your story in your chosen medium. Maybe you're a master of words, maybe you have a knack for capturing life beautifully through photographs, maybe you love creating videos. Whatever it is, we want to see what you can do!
You don't have to be an expert in any field in order to stand a chance. Here at Shoshin Tribe we look for passion and potential over perfection.

ROUND THREE
ALL ABOUT YOU
The applicants selected in round two, the top 10% will be chosen to move onto round three. From this, our six scholarship recipients will be chosen.
In round three we want to get to know you a bit better. It's time for you to showcase your personality
We want to get a feel for the personalities and team dynamics as the six tribers who will be participating in the three month journey will be travelling together and documenting the journey along the way.

At Shoshin Tribe we understand the current circumstances surrounding travel given the serverity of the Coronavirus pandemic. We also understand how many regions and communities are suffering due to the lack of tourism.
We believe it is important to forge a new way of domestic travel that can help rebuild domestic tourism. We aim to give back to local communities and economies while still being safe and minimising the risk of spreading the virus further.
Before and during the three month scholarship, we will ensure all local rules and restrictions are followed and all proper precautions are taken.
This will include:
- All participants are requested to get Covid vaccine before embarking on the journey - A RT-PCR test will be taken every ten days - two weeks during the three months of travel - Majority of travel will be via personal vehicles to avoid public transport and possible transmission - Major cities will be avoided during the travels to reduce risk of coming in contact with Coronavirus

Q: Am I eligible to apply?
A: As long as you're a Shoshin Tribe member, over 18 and able to travel in India you are eligible to apply!
Q: How do I apply?
A: First step to applying is becoming a Shoshin Tribe member. Then you simply have to fill out the application form and you are on your way!
Q: I'm not an Indian, can I apply?
A: Sure, if you're able to travel within India for the three months without any further assistance from us (eg. visa) then you can apply. We will not be responsible for any visa issues.

A: Before applying you must first become a Shoshin Tribe member. We would love to have you as part of our community! You can apply here
Q: I want to edit my application form, what do I do?
A: If you think you have made a mistake with your personal information you can email us at info@shoshintribe.com and we will update it for you. The other written answers however, cannot be edited.
Q: What are the trip dates?
A: As of now the previous trip dates have been moved due to unexpected turns due to Covid second wave . We are waiting out to see the latest development with the 'expected' third wave. Specific dates and itineraries will be announced in the coming weeks. Dates can be subject to change. But as of now, end of Dec 2021 is considered as a practical date for the journey.
Q: What will I be doing during the trip?
A: There will be many opportunities and experiences available during the trip. You will be travelling across the country with fellow scholarship winners. Specific details will be finalised closer to the travel dates
Q: Can I bring someone?
A: No, sorry. If you receive the scholarship it is applicable for you only and you will be travelling with the other recipients.
Q: I am having a problem submitting my application. What should I do?

Q: Can I extend the trip?
A: After all formalities and obligations with the Shoshin Tribe Scholarship trip are completed, you are free to travel however you would like.
