High up in the Uttarakhand Himalayas, at a height of 7999 ft, lies the beautiful lake Deoria Tal. On a clear day, you can see the mighty Chaukhamba and other peaks mirrored in its pristine waters. Legend has it that this is the very lake where the wandering Pandavas, parched with thirst, encountered a Yakhsha who forbade them to drink until they could answer his questions satisfactorily. Four of the brothers ignored him, and paid with their lives. It was left to the wise Yudhisthira to answer all his questions and resurrect his brothers. A little below Deoria Tal lies the village of Sari, and here is where you find Café Buransh, which will be our home from November 22nd to 28th.
Café Buransh is a boutique property comprising a café and a premium home stay, 500 m en route the trail from Sari to Deoria Tal. It offers a sense of authentic Pahadi living, with basic comforts. It offers you a chance to engage in the incomparable natural beauty of the surrounding mountains, engage with the village and get a taste of authentic Pahadi food, or just do nothing.
